Islamabad, November 28, 2016 (PPI-OT): A Private sector delegation led by Mr. Shahid Ahmed from Havalsen Turkish based IT company called on the Minister of State for IT and Telecom Ms. Anusha Rahman, here in Islamabad today. Member Legal Ms. Aamena Sohail and Director Mr. Yasir Qadir were also present in the meeting. The delegates shared their experiences and best practices in the field of cyber governance.
The Minister briefed the delegation regarding Government’s initiative and commitment related to cyber arena to ensure safety and steps being taken to protect the rights of citizens online. The Minister thanked the delegation for their interest on the subject. The Minister also apprised the delegation of the government’s program to have enhanced inputs from all stakeholders for which the government is planning to convene a consultation forum where National, International participation is expected.
