Rivers flows and reservoirs level report

Lahore, December 14, 2016 (PPI-OT): The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under:

Rivers: Indus at Tarbela: Inflows 17900 cusecs and Outflows 40000 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 9800 cusecs and Outflows 9800 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla: Inflows 7200 cusecs and Outflows 32000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala: Inflows 5600 cusecs and Outflows Nil.

Barrages: Jinnah: Inflows 56800 cusecs and Outflows 49800 cusecs, Chashma: Inflows 39300 cusecs and Outflows 40000 cusecs, Taunsa: Inflows 39800 cusecs and Outflows 39800 cusecs, Panjnad: Inflows 5200 cusecs and Outflows Nil, Guddu: Inflows 44200 cusecs and Outflows 38500 cusecs, Sukkur: Inflows 36100 cusecs and Outflows 6800 cusecs, Kotri: Inflows 4600 cusecs and Outflows Nil.

Reservoirs (Level and Storage):

Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1380 feet, present level 1427.54 feet, maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 0.897 million acre feet (MAF).

Mangla: Minimum operating level 1040 feet, present level 1126.30 feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 1.205 MAF.

Chashma: Minimum operating level 637 feet, present level 639.30 feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.028 MAF.

The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 a.m.
