Our livestock and fisheries sectors have great investment opportunities for local and international investors: Malkani

Karachi, December 15, 2016 (PPI-OT):To Rehabilitate and develop the 5 farms of Livestock under public private partnership project ,a review meeting to discuss further extension of one year to the project was held under the chairmanship of Minister Livestock Muhammad Ali Malkani at his office here today. Secretary Livestock Ghulam Hussain Memon and other officers attended the meeting.

Minister Livestock Muhammad Ali Malkani has said that there are lot of investment opportunities in livestock and fisheries sectors for the national as well as international investors, in this regard Govt of Sindh is fully support and assistance to the private sector for viable investment at large scale in Sindh to benefits the local livestock farmers and holders/owners.

Government is serious to provide all possible assistance and facilitate to rehabilitate and develop livestock farms under PPP project. He appreciated the efforts of partners and would finalise the bidding document of one year extension under agreement without delay. The Minister Livestock described that such 5 Livestock farms including Khudabad(Dadu) Kunri, Tando Muhammad Khan, Karachi and Rohri would gradually be developed and rehabilitated, for which it would be initiated in letter and spirit as the better management and planning could give positive results.

He said that Gulf state investors are very much interested in livestock industry in Sindh, a comprehensive plan is being devised to provide possible facilities and assistance with availability of required land and other resources to those investors who are willing to invest in livestock sector. Through foolproof transparency, completion of viable project would give desired results in developed countries such as needed in our country and the province, therefore all stake holders would be provided investment opportunities and environment, he added.

Secretary Livestock Ghulam Hussain Memon also said that measures are being taken for the viable and boost the project for achieving required targets. He directed the officials that to send a detailed project report without delay to start the project and complete timely.
