Srinagar, December 14, 2016 (PPI-OT):In occupied Kashmir, Muzaffar Ahmed Wani, the father of popular martyred commander, Burhan Wani, has said that the announcement by the puppet authorities to compensate the killing of his son Khalid Wani has vindicated his stand that Khalid was innocent and was murdered by the Indian Army just for being the brother of Burhan Wani.
Muzaffar Wani in a media interview, however, clarified that God had given him everything and he didn’t need any compensation.
The martyr 25-year-old, Khalid, was a student of Political Science at the Indira Gandhi National Open University. He was killed by the Indian army on April 13, 2015. The Army had claimed that Khalid was a part of militant group who fired upon the patrolling party, the claim that was immediately refuted by the family and the locals after the incident.
Now, the puppet administration’s announcement to pay compensation for Khalid Wani is direct admission that he was killed innocently.
“It is really good news for me,” his father said adding that at least the administration had admitted that his son was innocent and was killed in cold blood by Army. “It was my demand to inquire into his death and today’s announcement vindicated my stand that Khalid was innocent and was murdered for being the brother of Burhan Wan i,” Muzaffar Wani added.
He said God has given him everything and he doesn’t need compensation. “What is important that the administration has accepted that my son was innocent,” Wani said.
Meanwhile, former puppet Chief Minister of Kashmir Omar Abdullah in a statement raised a query whether the puppet administration would order an inquiry in the killing of Khalid Wani. He said this in response to the order by the regime to pay ex-gratia to the family of Khalid.
