Srinagar, December 14, 2016 (PPI-OT):In occupied Kashmir, India and its stooges have not regained senses from the five-month uprising triggered by the killing of Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani, attendance of funeral prayers of mujahideen by large crowds starts posing yet another daunting challenge to the Indian armed forces in the territory.
After the death of two youth on Friday, thousands marched on the streets and attended the funeral of mujahid, Majid Zargar, in South Kashmir. The pro-India People’s Democratic Party admits the situation remains volatile amid the presence of huge crowds at such funerals.
“The situation in Jammu and Kashmir remains jittery. Who would say no to that? There has been a problem that continues to lurk… funeral prayers of militants won’t bother us than the continuation of political instability,” said Nizamudin Butt, the party’s general secretary.
The puppet administration had hoped that people would have been disillusioned with the uprising with the passage of time, but things are far from settled. During encounters, the crowds still try to break security cordon in an attempt to help the holed up mujahideen.
Last week, a civilian was killed in firing when a crowd tried break cordon. The police have now appealed to people not to assemble near encounter sites.
